Official's Incentive Program
The Intramural Sports program provides an official's incentive program in order to aid in the retention of officials as well as recognize their outstanding service to the program. Included in this program is a set of criteria that officials have to meet in order to receive established awards. Officials who serve as clinicians and/or officiate final championship games in all divisions, will receive an intramural championship t-shirt (limit of one/sport).
LEVEL ONE AWARD: CUP
This is for the official who qualifies for playoffs and fulfills all scheduled requirements through playoffs in one sport. In order to qualify for playoffs they must have attended a training clinic(s), pass a written exam, attend the on field training (scramble), attend all meetings (end of the first week meeting and the pre-playoff meeting, etc.), been responsible and dependable, and completed all assignments as required.*
LEVEL TWO AWARD: T-SHIRT
This is for the official who qualifies for playoffs and fulfills all scheduled requirements through playoffs in two sports in the same academic year, or one sport for two years.*
LEVEL THREE AWARD: BAG
This is for the official who qualifies for playoffs and fulfills all scheduled requirements through playoffs in three sports in the same academic year, or two sports for two years, or one sport for three years.*
GAMES AWARD: SHORTS
Additionally, this is for the official who officiates 75 total games for all sports combined in the same academic year. SHORTS WILL BE AWARDED SHORTLY AFTER REACHING THE 75 GAME LEVEL.
*Officials must work a minimum of 10 games/sport to qualify in that sport for an incentive level.
