New League Structure for 2011-2012
Beginning this semester our IM leagues will consist of three divisions: Competitive, Recreational and Leisure.
Competitive: For teams and individuals that take their game seriously! While previous playing experience is not a requirement teams that sign up for competitive leagues should expect some tough competition in order to be crowned the best of the best. Following the four-game regular season, competitive teams will participate in a single-elimination bracket seeded on regular season record. Recreational: Recreational teams are those that consider themselves to be more interested in participating in Intramural Sports for enjoyment rather than competition. This may include people that are new to the sport. Recreational teams will also participate in a single-elimination bracket seeded on regular season record. Recreational teams that finish their league with an undefeated record and have a scoring margin of 2.5 times the forfeit ratio will participate in the competitive playoffs. Leisure: Leisure leagues are for teams who just want to play and participate for fun. Any combination of males and females can be used for leagues and teams play 5 regular season games and will not participate in any postseason tournament.
Championship Night Events: We will hold Championship Nights for all of our league sports. We will have activities, prizes, and a great atmosphere in which to enjoy the championship games for all of our leagues. Click on the sport title for more information.
